The kits

A kit includes all the non-printable items needed to make a device.

A kit is provided free of charge when a maker makes a hand for a recipient.
Kits are not offered for test hands.
You can buy a kit for 25 €, send an email to contact@e-Nable.fr and we will explain the procedure to you.
Namely: the kits do not bring us anything. If you can find the different items around you it will cost you less and save us time ????

Non printable materials

Wire elastic
For all devices that do not use dental elastics (Raptor and Raptor reloaded, Phoenix reborn ...).
The rubber bands are found in haberdashery or in the manual work department, in 1mm or 2mm in diameter, and in different colors. Take 50cm per device, counting wide.
Wire elastics are recommended in hot countries and countries where it is difficult to obtain dental elastics.
Dental elastic Dental elastics are used on models (Phoenix, Raptor reloaded) designed for. The Phoenix Unlimbited uses two sizes of rubber bands.
They come in different strengths and diameters. With 3/8 ″ and 1/4 ″ diameters in the greatest strength you can find, you can achieve all hands from 95% to 135%.
The screws They are used to finely adjust the tension on the tendons by pulling more or less on the pins of the tensioner.
Only choose stainless screws. Use machine screws when the size of the hand allows it. Prefer cruciform heads because they are easier to adjust. Prefer rounded heads to conical heads because they are more elegant.
For a 100% hand the M3s are fine, 5mm longer than half the length of a tensioner pin.
You will quickly have an assortment of screws in stock because they are inexpensive. If you need them, print the tensioner pins first and then go and try the screws on them in the store.
Nylon thread. It represents the tendons that force the fingers to bend when the wrist flexes.
Choose non-woven, non-elastic fishing line (nylon thread) between 0.4 and 0.6 mm in diameter, depending on the size of the hand. It can be found in the peach department or in the pearl department.
Crimping beads or tubes Because it is difficult to tie knots in nylon thread, you can choose to use tubing or crimp beads.
Slide the nylon thread inside, crush the tube with pliers, and presto! Rayon beads and necklaces, or fishing.
Plasti-Dip The best alternative to silicone finger cots, Plasti-dip, covers the fingertips and palm with a film that gives a super grip.

The foam It serves to protect the recipient's skin from contact with plastic.
It is commonly found in thickness of 2mm, sometimes in 5mm. Both are suitable.
In the photo to the left of medical foam, supplied by a prosthetist, to the right of EVA foam found at an art supply store, both types may be suitable.
The scratch 1m of scratch is enough for one hand, count 2m for an arm.
The scratch is double-sided (male on one side, female on the other) or hermaphrodite (male and female on the same side), 2cm wide.
Do not take the versions with a male band and a female band. Please note that the descriptions on Amazon are not always very clear.
